Chapter: The travel
A woman named Sumaira fell to her knees and cried in agony and shouts
“Why is it so hard to meet you while you’re protecting me with everything you have?”
With the maiden cry, the wind blew rapidly, and then time began to flow backward.
The years began to flow backward 2043… 2042…2041…2040….2028
And it stopped in the year 2023
Where am I? What is happening to me? Am I remembering the scenes from that year? Is it connected to something?!!-
As she realizes, a mist surrounds her, and there are calendars floating in that mist. The breeze makes the month's pages fly, and they get torn from that. All those months' pages pause as if they are stopped, and they start to revolve around her.
She suddenly heard a huge noise when she turned in that direction. She finds herself in the middle of a street out of nowhere.
She notices a big tree has fallen!
Sumaira wipes her tears and looks around. At that instant, her head starts to hurt, and she remembers some of her memories from the past. As she looks at the fallen tree, she spots her younger self being saved by someone! But that person's face is covered in a dark mist and his voice is inaudible…
Sumaira’s body moves on its own after seeing him, and she runs towards that person as her heart wants to know who it is. Without knowing what's happening to her and why she is seeing her younger self, she covers the distance between them. When she is about to catch that person she notices the mist coming towards her she stretches her arm to call that person but when she is about to touch him the calendar pages surround her and the years started to flow again…
What is this? Why is this happening again? Why am I seeing the calendars that were torn away recently gathering now?
The calendar pages that are roaming in the air are now sticking together one by one rapidly in a fast phase!
The month's pages began to stick april… may… June … Dec 2023
While she was standing there and looking at that mist, the mist cleared, and she saw a light moving towards her at rapid speed.
What is this, and where am I? when I realized it, there was a truck rushing right towards me… Why am I in the center of the road? Is my life going to end here? I can neither dodge it nor get hit by it. I am scared! I am scared!! I only wanted to meet that person who was trying to save me… With that sorrow, she closed her eyes in fear.
At that moment, I felt someone catch my hand and pull me towards him!
I wanted to hug and cry, but there was a teenage girl, and the boy who saved me also seemed to be a teenager. But what is this? Why am I not saved? Didn't he see me?
The truck that she saw earlier passes through her! (She was shocked to encounter that.) With a shocked face, she shouts, “What’s happening here?” "Am I already dead”. Is this the reason why I am seeing all my teenage memories?
The teenager who was saved by the boy hugs him, and the boy tries to console her.
But what is this? Why is my heart not at ease? Why is it beating this fast? Why am I feeling like I am in hell? It is common to hug the person who saved us. Who is that girl? Why is she appearing in my memories? Why am I remembering the bracelet that he wore? She caught her head, and she fell to her knees. Yeah, that's right Why do I not remember his face even though I gave it to him? And why is his face covered in the black mist? Is he the person I wanted to meet? Is he the person I am looking for?
If he is who I was hoping to meet, then that young girl must be "me" in the right way!
But why is he holding Aakriti now…
Sumaira fell to her knees and passed out right there. The teen boy turned to face her and yelled, "Maira!" before sprinting in her direction.
Her eyes started to well up with tears as she heard the name she had never before remembered, which brought her great joy. She began to recall that location as the wind blew fiercely. He rushes to grab her, but instead of doing so, he hugs Sumaira's younger self.
Who are you, Sumaira asks as she turns back to face him. What do I mean to you? She asks the teenager while having uncontrollable tears streaming from her eyes, but he never answers. When her tears stop, she exclaims, "If I can't remember you? Why am I seeing you in my memories? Why can't I remember you? Who are you? Why, after all these years, do I still see all these memories?
You even addressed me as "Maira," so who could you be?
It has been years since I've heard that name, and only my mother and close family members use it.
Once more, the wind blew, and the mist re-gathered around her. She was seated directly in the middle of all of those rotating calendars when they suddenly stopped, and the torn-away pages of the rotating calendars started to stick back.
She sat there with no idea. However, Sumaira asked, her head bowed, "Who is it?" as someone's legs were directly in front of her.
Is he the person she wanted to meet?
